The Challenge
Alektum relied on heavy manual processes to manage payouts, including overpayments, client funds and payments to third parties, such as the Swedish Enforcement Authority (Kronofogdemyndigheten, KFM). The team spent significant time fetching, sorting and structuring data across multiple sources before initiating payments.
The Solution
We provided a software automation layer that now handles the majority of this work. The new system supports multiple payout types in a single interface – whether it’s client-held funds, direct refunds to debtors or regulated transfers to KFM.
The Result
The solution made each flow clearly defined and automated based on business logic and real-time data, significantly reducing manual workload and the risk of human error, thereby strengthening operational efficiency and the customer experience. The higher accuracy also translated into full traceability and a team that can now focus on value beyond administration.
In numbers, Alektum achieved:
Much less time spent managing client funds
Significant reduction in time spent handling standard overpayments to debtors
Transformative improvement in the KFM-related overpayment process
They are incredibly attentive to our needs and requests. The collaboration has felt more like a partnership than a traditional customer–supplier relationship. We are more like colleagues to each other.
